We organise peaceful direct action to oppose NZ arms and aerospace companies' collaboration with the American military industrial complex and the Israeli genocide in Gaza, and advocate against New Zealand's wider complicity — taking to the streets to make sure these issues are heard.
Join Peace Action Ōtautahi in marching on Te Pae Convention Centre to disrupt the National Aerospace Summit and make it known that genocide enablers, death engineers, and war criminals are not welcome in Aotearoa — not now, not ever, and certainly not hiding behind the thin facade of "civilian and humanitarian applications".
Delegates attending include representatives of the US Military, the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS), Rocket Lab, and military contractors from around the globe, all cashing in on Aotearoa's minimally regulated aerospace launch and development sector. We're turning out to make sure they know they aren't welcome.
Get everyone you know involved and join us on 2 October 2026. More info to come.
Join us at NIOA's warehouse at 45 Stoneleigh Drive from 9am onwards this Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th. Together, we can show these war profiteers that they are not welcome in our city.
Let's celebrate the change of the seasons and share joy in our resistance to climate and ecological breakdown and militarism. Even in these dark times we can find the light that sustains us.
Event starts at 6pm (come earlier if you'd like to use the kitchen space to do some cooking together or want to help decorate a festive space.)
From 6:30 we'll have a potluck, so bring a treat or cook together in the kitchen prior. Vegan food encouraged but all food offerings welcomed.
Approx 7:30 by the light of a fire we'll have an open mic/storytelling session. If you like, bring a fictional or nonfictional offering to read, poem, song etc. Don't be perfect — give it a go!
We might have some optional silly games at some point. And dress-up/costumes are welcome, but not required (we'll have some of our protest costumes available!)
Later in the evening we'll have loud dance music playing, and also a chillout zone for more quiet chat and board games etc.
The spirit of this evening is about community and caring for each other. Let's cut loose without getting messy or totally wasted.
This event is jointly hosted by Climate Liberation Aotearoa and Peace Action Ōtautahi. All are welcome, whether you're involved with these groups, friends/family of those involved, or if you think you align with our values and campaigns.
